Bio Actress Iracel Rivero is perfectly placed to bridge two cultures - she was born in Matanzas, Cuba home to the famous Varadero Beach and raised in the United States from an early age. She is fluent in both Spanish as well as English (neutral accent), and her upbringing means she has a deep understanding of the cultures of both worlds. Iracel began performing at an early age, at family gatherings, church pageants and dance recitals. But it was a grade school trip to a production of West Side Story that inspired her to become an actress. She was awarded a Fine Arts Fellowship to study at the University of South Florida at Tampa, and was invited into the Theater Honors Program under the tutelage of director Chris Steele. While at USF, she had the privilege of taking master classes with Dennis Quilley, Keith Baxter, and the team of Rachel Kavanaugh & Dominic Hill as part of the theater department’s BRIT Program, an exchange program with Middlesex University. Iracel has since moved to New York City, where she currently lives and works in both film and theater.
